For less than half the cost of a latte a day, young adults could afford Individual Health Insurance premiums.
When you are in your early twenties, you think you are invincible and yet, with the traffic density, drug and alcohol abuse, road rage and violence that we experience in our society, just to name a few of the hazards of everyday life in California, unless you are descended from one of the comic book superheroes you are likely to regret not having any Health Insurance if one of these hazards came home to roost.
Unfortunately nearly 10 million young Americans are uninsured, even though in 50 of the largest U.S. cities, health insurance is affordable. Of the top 10 most affordable cities, California can proudly claim 6 of them with Individual Health Insurance Plan Premiums ranging from $54 to $58.77 per month.
A certain coffee house, which shall remain nameless, would be surprised to hear that for less than the cost of a latte a day, the average young adult could well afford Individual Health coverage. The most expensive cities included New York and Boston.
