Articles / California Health Insurance further confused by Medicare Part D
01/07/2006
As in other states, California Health Insurance has also been a source of great confusion to its senior citizens with the introduction of Medicare Part D. Now that there is added pressure to enroll before May 15th, 2006 or suffer steadily increasing penalties of 1% per month after that date, it has no doubt increased many senior citizens' blood pressure. While trying to decipher the complexities and variations of Medicare Part D, it becomes even more difficult as each company in each state has its own version of the Medicare Part D formula and as a result many senior citizens don't know which way to turn or where to get the best impartial advice.
There are many sources of information available to ease this burden for our seniors. Even some chain stores and pharmacies have facilities where seniors can get information.
Apart from searching the internet (if that is available to them) for a wide scope of references about Medicare Part D, the best person to talk to would be the person that to date has handled the individuals' general Health Insurance because they are familiar with the persons' situation and health needs.
"Nearly every one of my senior Health Insurance clients," said David Thau, an experienced insurance advisor and CEO and founder of Keep It Simple Insurance in Los Angeles, " have come to me with their very real concerns about Medicare Part D, and because I know their medical backgrounds and requirements it has been easy to impartially recommend the right options for them."
California Health Insurance in conjunction with Medicare Part D should not present too great a problem in deciding which plan suits one best provided one has a clear understanding of all the data and which plan covers each situation. It is therefore best to talk to the person that knows you best so that all bases can be covered. One thing to remember is do not neglect other insurance necessities like Final Expense Insurance, Dental, or Family Health Insurance as these too are factors that have to be considered for complete peace of mind in this, the beginning of a New Year.
